For a prediction of the future, I went with non-existent humans that most likely died off. I knew in the beginning that I wanted to do an overgrown city to show life that is able to grow without humans, like the earth taking back the land. I added animals, specifically my dog and cat. I did my best to make them fit in with the landscape, and I tried to add realistic lighting. I also added a picture of a figure I had in my room. It's from a game, it's supposed to be a bug, but I thought it looked very alien like which I thought would go well with my other theme. I added aliens because I thought it would be fun to have aliens taking over the earth after humans. I tried to make the ufo and the weird astronaut fit into the setting by adding a slight blur, lighting changes, etc.

Over the course of this project, I got to know Illustrator better and learned more about its tools. For this project I chose two of my favorite comic characters, Nightwing and Starfire. It was very fun creating them in this environment. I thought it was a good idea to switch out the pitchfork the farmer holds with Nightwing's weapons. It was very peaceful creating this taking the vector tool and going over the original picture and making it something new. I'm still not fully able to use Illustrator to the fullest extent as I still need to do some more growth and learning to be able to better utilize its tools.
Walk Through Barrett

I wanted to share what walking around the Barrett complex is like, especially in the evenings. I always love the soft sounds the night brings, so i wanted to explore how the night scene is in this place that is new for me. I wanted to start with how it would be for me, with putting on my shoes and opening the door. I then go down 5 flights of stairs as I feel the cool calming night air. I walk around seeing groups of people chattering and having fun, though it's not overly loud, just the right amount. I walk and hear the sounds of the sprinklers and the hum of a building, both I find quite calming. I then leave the Barrett complex through the heavy door and walk around finding more people out and about despite the cover of night. I hear the loud hum of a food truck which brings more people around and enjoying the night. I make my way back to a back entrance seeing others enjoying a nice night stroll as well.

I picked a horror movie because it was during October, and I thought it would be a lot of fun to see what I could make. I chose to use the Blair Witch Project as my reference because it was a movie my mom always enjoyed when she was a kid. I tried to replicate the style of the original trailer by adding a bunch of jumping cuts and filming similar things. Unfortunately, I had no one else to film or help film, so for some stuff I had to get creative. I also didn't have all the movie props, so I had to make do with what I had using an action figure to replace the weird wood totem in the original. I tried to match the eerie intense atmosphere of the original while also making fun of the original.
Hollow Fight

Animation
2024
I’ve always been a big fan of the game Hollow Knight, a metroidvania from the developers Team Cherry, so for this animation project I wanted to animate a scene from the game. The game is about bug creatures that are trying to stop an infection spread through a kingdom. I decided to do hand drawn 2d frame by frame, as that's my favorite way of animating. I tried to get as much done as I could. It might have been a little ambitious, but it was a good learning experience. I tried to make the final boss battles in the game, the Hollow Knight and the Radiance. I attempted to make it dynamic and interesting to watch as best I could.
